Renovation - Napier Hill

This beautiful old historic home belonging to a young family of 7, was about to undergo a major reshuffle and renovation of its downstairs kitchen, laundry, dining, and living rooms when our clients contacted us. Working alongside HDT Architects, we designed the layout of the kitchen, which was completely flipped and walls removed to create an open plan space. As well as the kitchen layout and design, we also designed the laundry/butlers pantry, the built-in dining nook and the entrance.

Two years later, after giving the family time to recover from the first major renovation, we completed an extensive renovation of their family room and hallway, as well as the new addition of a downstairs bathroom, created by stealing space from a large study. The family room opens out onto a large pool and outdoor area, and is the perfect space for the family, and/or the kids and their friends, to retreat to. Before the makeover this area of the house was sorely underutilised, but now it’s one of their favourite spaces to spend time. There was previously no bathroom downstairs, so family and guests had quite a distance to travel to get to the upstairs bathroom. The addition of the new downstairs bathroom has also been a huge benefit.
