Furniture and homewares selection - Ahuriri, Napier

Our clients, who live in Auckland, bought this apartment to use as a home-away-from-home when visiting family in Hawke’s Bay, and when they’re not using the apartment it’s available as rental accommodation. Their brief to us was to help them turn it into a space that they could enjoy spending time in as a family, and furnish it with quality pieces that were sturdy enough to withstand multiple guests staying there. As well as furniture, we also sourced and supplied rugs, bedding and new window treatments throughout, and designed both custom headboards and the custom bookshelves in the second bedroom. The second bedroom had to work when guests wanted the bed as a king size, and also when the beds needed to be separated into two singles We designed the space to be a mix of loft apartment (working with the industrial vibe of the building) and boutique hotel (which added softness).
