Happy Monday

Welcome to another fabulous week. I have just had a marathon of a weekend with my young daughter at her Cheerleading comp down in Wellington. We left midday on Friday and got home late last night, and can I just say how immensely proud I am of Mia and her team who were amazing, and placed 2nd up against some much bigger clubs! It's a gorgeous day here in Hawke's Bay today, and even though I'd quite like to be relaxing here (see below), it's time to focus on work. So wishing you all a Happy Monday, and I'll be back tomorrow with lots of interior inspiration.

The Luxury of Linen Sheets

I told you in a recent blog post about my new linen sheets from Jamie Kay. I can't quite fathom how I ever slept without them, they are, quite simply, bliss! I've always enjoyed life's simple pleasures, and sleeping in fresh sheets is one of them. Linen sheets just get softer with each wash and it's like sleeping in silk.

I love the colours you can find linen sheets in - fresh white, dove grey, charcoal, denim, barely pink... The other fantastic thing is that linen sheets look fabulous when they're in that 'just slept in' state - perfect for when you've run out of time to make the bed because it was too comfy to get out of! If you haven't tried them I highly recommend you do - put a set on your birthday wish list.

Cool Cafes

I love a good cafe, and I have my favourites in Hawke's Bay where I go to for meetings, catching up with friends, and relaxing with my family. Good food, coffee and service is paramount, but obviously for me the decor is very important too. Commercial spaces likes cafes, restaurants, offices, and retail shops have the opportunity to be really creative, and you can often be more adventurous than in a residential space. But the thing is, you really need to update them every couple of years, because of the high traffic wear and tear, and also just to keep things fresh. Here are a few I particularly love...
